What we collect
When you use SaleQ, we collect:
- Your email address (to sign you in and send magic links)
- Your name (to personalize your experience)
- Your phone number (optional, used for SMS only if you provide it and opt in)
- CRM data you enter (contacts, companies, engagements, activities, tasks, notes)
- If you connect Google: contacts, calendar events, and email threads from your Google account
- Usage data (pages visited, features used) to improve the product
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the SaleQ service
- To send you sign-in links and essential account notifications
- To process payments through Stripe (we never see your card number)
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to third parties
- We don't show you ads
- We don't share your CRM data with other users or companies
- We don't use your data to train AI models
Data storage
Your data is stored in AWS (Amazon Web Services) in the United States. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
Data retention
Your CRM data is retained as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we delete your data within 30 days. You can request immediate deletion by emailing support@saleq.io.
SMS / Text messages
SaleQ uses SMS in two ways, both triggered by a prospect's action: submitting an inquiry form where they've checked the SMS consent box.
- Automated auto-reply — when a prospect submits an inquiry to a SaleQ account holder and selects Text as their preferred contact method, SaleQ sends an automated confirmation SMS from the account holder's provisioned phone number.
- Direct replies from the business — the SaleQ account holder (the business the prospect contacted) may reply to the inquiry via SMS through SaleQ. These messages relate to the original inquiry.
Consent is required. You only receive SMS after explicitly checking the consent box on the inquiry form. Selecting Text as your preferred contact method alone is not consent — the checkbox is mandatory.
Opt out at any time. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies based on the business's response pattern. Message and data rates may apply.
Your phone number is not shared. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties other than Twilio, our SMS provider, for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive. SaleQ account holders see your phone number only because you submitted it to them via their inquiry form.
No mobile information is shared for marketing. No mobile information, phone numbers, or SMS opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is not transferred to any third party.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no cookie banners.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate SaleQ. Each provider processes only the minimum data necessary for its function.
Stripe
Payment processing. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's privacy policy.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- DynamoDB — primary database
- SES — email delivery (magic links and notifications)
- CloudFront — content delivery
- Lambda — application hosting
Twilio
SMS delivery. When SaleQ sends an SMS on behalf of an account holder, the message, the recipient's phone number, and the sender's phone number are passed to Twilio for delivery. Twilio's privacy policy.
If you connect your Google account, we access the following services using OAuth 2.0 with the minimum required permissions:
- Gmail API — imports email threads as CRM activities
- Google Calendar API — syncs calendar events as CRM activities
- Google People API — imports your Google contacts
You can revoke access at any time from your Google account settings. Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can:
- Export your data at any time
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Contact us about any privacy concerns
